PolySimulator 0.8 — Track the Markets That Matter
PolySimulator 0.8 — Track the Markets That Matter
Prediction markets move fast. Crypto pairs flip on a single tweet, sports lines swing on a hamstring, and political odds redraw themselves overnight. Until now, you had to be staring at the screen to catch any of it.
0.8 is about changing that.
This release turns PolySimulator from "a great place to paper-trade" into "a place that pays attention to the markets for you" — so when something actually moves, you know.
It is the largest release we have shipped, and it touches almost every part of the product.
Track Anything. Get Notified When It Matters.
You can now follow markets and traders directly from the platform.
- Track a market with one click from any market page. Get pinged when the price moves.
- Track a top trader from the smart-money tab on Pro Analytics. Get pinged when they enter or exit positions.
- Tune the noise with per-channel rules — minimum price move, minimum notional, per-event opt-outs.
Everything you track lives in a new section on your profile, with a feed of recent alerts so you can scroll back through what happened while you were away.
This is the foundation we have wanted to build for a long time. Markets are public, traders are public, and now you finally have a way to stay close to them without burning your evening on a market detail page.
Alerts on Telegram
You can connect a Telegram account in seconds via a deep link, and PolySimulator will deliver alerts directly to your chat.
We did not want yet another "ping with a price." Telegram alerts ship as visual cards — premium dark layout, clear market context, the trader's avatar, the size, and a direct link back to the market on PolySimulator. They render legibly on a phone screen, even in a busy group chat.
If you spend more time in Telegram than in your browser, the bot is the fastest way to keep prediction markets in your peripheral vision without opening another tab.
In-app push and the rest of the channel work continues right behind this — the foundation is now in place.
Up/Down Markets, Now Truly Real-Time
Up/Down crypto markets are some of the most-traded markets on Polymarket, and historically they were also the trickiest to render honestly. Prices move every second, intervals roll over, and a stale chart can make a serious trader lose confidence in everything else on the page.
We rebuilt the live chart path:
- Actively viewed Up/Down markets now subscribe to the realtime CLOB feed for share prices, last trades, and the order book — not just polled snapshots.
- Live share-price history is recorded centrally, so a trader who opens a market mid-interval gets the real shared trace, not a flat line up to "now."
- Charts stay live across interval turnover, with bounded windows that no longer accept future or out-of-window points.
- Resolution detection is faster and the final settlement price is what actually shipped on-chain.
Net effect: the Up/Down chart finally feels alive, and the BTC reference line you trade against matches reality second-by-second.
Trader Profiles Got Real
When you click a wallet on PolySimulator, you now land on something that actually looks like a trader's profile.
- Polymarket-style holders, positions, and activity rows.
- PnL chart with range selector — 1D, 1W, 1M, 1Y, YTD, ALL — and the headline number now updates with the selected range, so you see the real profit or loss across the window you actually care about.
- Avatars and display names when public data provides them, plus sensible fallbacks when it does not.
- Comments tagged with positions, so you can immediately see whether the person arguing in the thread is also holding the trade.
The point is not to glamorize copy-trading. It is to make market context legible. Smart money is public; we are just rendering it the way it deserves to be rendered.
A Private Account Ledger
A new Ledger view on your profile gives you a clean, private record of every balance change in your account — deposits, trades, payouts, and resets, in one place.
If you have been treating PolySimulator as a real notebook for testing strategies, the ledger is the receipt.
Quieter Polish, Lots of It
A release this big always has a long tail of work that does not make a screenshot but absolutely changes how the product feels:
- Market lists, event pages, and the home grid load faster and feel less janky on slow networks.
- Resolved Polymarket markets are now archived for long-term history.
- Chart history endpoints respect range, dedupe, and never serve stale slices for the active interval.
- Pro Analytics has a smarter loading skeleton that matches the loaded layout — no more layout shift on slow connections.
- Tracking lists, alert cards, and the BTC/crypto icons across the platform got a polish pass.
- The simulator's order execution stays honest about visible CLOB depth, with one more guard against unsorted book edge cases.
None of these are headline features. Together they are most of what makes a tool you actually trust.
The Direction
The tagline for 0.8 is "track the markets that matter" — but the real direction is broader.
We want PolySimulator to be the place where serious prediction-market traders live between trades. Not just where you click buy and sell, but where you watch the markets you care about, study the people moving them, and get pinged when something is actually worth your attention.
Tracking and alerts are the start of that. Telegram is the start of that. Real Up/Down charts and real trader profiles are the start of that.
The next releases push further into research, comparison, and trading workflows that scale beyond a single browser tab.
Thank You
Every release we ship is shaped by the people sending us bug reports, screenshots, edge cases, and "it would be cool if…" notes. 0.8 has more of your fingerprints on it than any release before. Keep them coming.
See you in the markets.
